In MY08, the B7 S4 BHF and C6 A6 and D3 A8 BVJ were the old MPI 5V V8s There were not a lot of 2007 to 2010 A8's sold with the later FSI 4.2, also not a lot of history here AFAIK. I believe the Q7 and Volkswagen Touareg share the same 4.2 FSI V8 so i would be inclined to hear how those are holding up as well.
